  • TransportMAX is the industry portal built by the public transportation industry for the public transportation industry, in exclusive partnership with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).

  • Buyers can search for keywords that match your company's product/service offerings, and they can also view your company's storefront (advertising space on TransportMAX for information on a company's products, services, etc.).

  • TransportMAX can help suppliers increase efficiency and reduce costs by:
    1. automating manual, paper-intensive procurement processes
    2. improving order tracking and traceability and reporting
    3. extending an additional sales channel to current and potential customers
    4. providing real-time information on market demand and industry trends

  • TransportMAX takes pride in its outreach program to the DBE community. We invite DBEs to join TransportMAX free of charge. Your company will be able to transact with all of our transit agencies right away.
  • A Storefront is a free feature available to all of our suppliers. With your Storefront, you can alert agencies of current specials, news, and upcoming events. You can also select the different categories of items that your company provides to the transit industry. Once your Storefront is setup, agencies will be able to search for you by category code.   • Yes. You are able to change your bid as long as the RFQ is still open.
  • After you log in, click on the "Respond to RFQ" link. Then select the RFQ that you would like to bid on and click "Place Quote". Enter all required data and submit your bid.
  • Yes. Follow the steps of placing a bid and click the "No Bid" check box. This will notify the buyer of your intentions.

  • Suppliers pay a $25 Registration Fee then select the Flat Fee Usage Plan that fits your business. No Transaction Fees! The Tier 1 Plan provides up to $2500 in online sales for FREE!
  1. The Tier 1 plan provides up to $2,500 in online sales for FREE and is available to any supplier once in a 12-month period.
  2. Except as otherwise provided for in the User Agreement, all Usage Plans require an annual(12 month) contract, are non-refundable and do not guarantee receipt of any sale on the marketplace.
  3. Sales on the marketplace accrue against a Supplier's Usage Plan based on online award of an RFQ, independent of a formal purchase order from the buying organization.
  4. Suppliers can change (upgrade or downgrade) or terminate plans at any time provided their current contract is paid in full.
  5. If a supplier exceeds the Tier 1 sales limit, they are automatically renewed at Tier 2. Tier 2 - Tier 10 Usage plans automatically renew (at the same Tier)at the end of the contract period or when the plan limit is exceeded, whichever comes first.
  6. Membership and Usage Plan fees may be paid by invoice.
  7. Tier 5 - Tier 10 plans may be paid in full or in quarterly installments. In the case of quarterly installments, any outstanding Usage Plan fees are due and payable upon a change to or termination of the Usage Plan.

  • The actual registration process takes about 5-10 minutes. Once completed, your registration will be reviewed by the TransportMAX customer support department. The turn around time for approvals is typically less than one business day.
  • Yes. We provide phone and/or Internet based training for our suppliers. If you would like to schedule a session, please email us at or call us at (707) 853-2222.
  • Please call the support line for a list of the latest agencies utilizing TransportMAX.
  • When a buyer creates an RFQ, they have the choice of explicitly inviting suppliers to bid on that RFQ. To make the process of inviting suppliers simpler, buyers usually set up invitation lists allowing them to invite multiple suppliers with one mouse click. To get on a particular buyer's invitation list, please contact that buyer directly and inform them of your membership in TransportMAX.
  • Yes. In your preferences, you may indicate the agency that you would like to receive notifications from. You may also opt out of notifications that are currently being sent to you.
  • You are automatically signed up for the TransportMAX marketplace Newsletter upon registration. To cancel, please uncheck the Newsletter selection in your email preferences. You may restart your free subscription at any time.
  • This issues arises from a setting in Internet Explorer (IE). To fix this situation, please follow these steps:
    1. Open an IE browser
    2. Click on TOOLS
    4. Under the GENERAL tab, click on SETTINGS
    5. make sure that "AUTOMATICALLY" is selected.

  • No. Your account balance is only affected when you are awarded a line item.
